Care and Machines [conference]: Registration now open

The LTI's next conference, 'Care and Machines', is to be held 20th-21st October on the Main Campus of The University of Manchester.

It features keynotes from Dr Kate Devlin (Goldsmiths, University of London), Prof Stuart Murray (University of Leeds), Prof Jeannette Pols (University of Amsterdam), Prof Noel Sharkey (University of Sheffield), and Dr Aimee van Wynsberghe (Delft University of Technology). Other international speakers will also be presenting papers on their research.

The conference has speakers working in a range of fields and on a range of topics pertaining to care, including self-care via apps and other devices, companionship (human-robot interaction), intimacy, and exploring broader societal issues such as vulnerability, marginality, and risk.
